Best Bars to Visit in Ontario’s Halton Region

Deborah K. Vick

A great night out doesn’t mean spending all the effort and time making your way downtown. For those that live outside of the city, there’s plenty to do without straying too far from what’s still considered Halton Real Estate. While downtown Toronto is great, don’t feel like that’s ever your only option for a little taste of nightlife.

There’s those who dream about a quiet night at a dive bar and others who’d love a place more trendy with elaborate drink options and maybe even a little karaoke. No matter your flavor, there’s sure to be something in Halton that you’d love. If you aren’t sure what your options are for your new favorite spot, here’s a few of the best.

Shoeless Joe’s

Some want a little sports action to go with their drinks and others might want the opposite. As long as you crave sports in the recipe at all, Shoeless Joe’s will be the perfect place for game night. When thinking about game night, you might think about the big game that’ll have everyone huddled around the TVs or something a little more local, like your own beer league games.

If you are looking to celebrate either, Shoeless Joe’s is where you’ll want to be. Sometimes the standard fare is exactly what a night craves, and for times like those you’ll have the perfect place right there in Milton.

Joe Dog’s Gasbar Grill

No matter who you are, there’s something to love at Joe Dog’s and for many, that very thing they love is Joe’s Underdog Rec room. For those that don’t know, this special section of Joe’s is stuffed full of classic video games, such as Galaga, as well as multiple pinball machines.

With a full party or just your best friend at your side, there’s an absolute blast to be had as you make your way through some of the best games from yesterday and today. Don’t think Joe’s offerings end there either. For those looking to host a larger group, there’s the Fuel Lounge. There’s also the Tiki bar on the patio to make those perfect summer nights all the more memorable.

And it wouldn’t be a conversation about the best bars locally if just the classic section, that is just Joe’s bar, wasn’t mentioned. It’s the perfect place to watch the game, whether you love the Blue Jays or the Maple Leafs.

Dirty Martini

For those looking for something a little more upscale, all while not leaving the club atmosphere too far behind, this is the place you’ve been craving. They’ve got an amazing drink menu with food to match as well numerous events throughout the month, sach as salsa dancing lessons, to make your special night out all the more memorable.

There’s even the option to plan your own events during the week here, so it you head out and like what you find at the Dirty Martini, keep it in mind when you are looking to plan a friend’s next birthday or even use the place as an opportunity to get together with your work colleagues and wind down after the stressors of everyday life.
